Rozi Afsari made her name on the silver screen in 1962 with the film ‘Joar Elo’ directed by Abdul Jabbar Khan. He acted in about three hundred and fifty films. He gave many superhit films to the audience.

In 1975, Rozi Afsari won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the movie ‘Lathiyal’.

His other notable films include – ‘Ora 11 Jaan’, ‘Alor Michili’, ‘Lathiyal’, ‘Ettuku Asha’, ‘Neel Akash Akash Aya’, ‘Unlearned’, ‘Pratikar’ etc. She is the first woman director of Bangladeshi films. His first film was ‘Asha Nirasha’.

Rozi Afsari’s first husband was the famous photographer M. Abdus Samad. Rosi has a daughter named Kavita in that family. Her second husband is the talented filmmaker Malek Afsari. They have a son, Zubair.

Suffering from kidney disease, on March 9, 2007, the famous star of ‘Ae Ghar Ae Samsar’ passed away from this world, leaving thousands of fans in tears.
