But like many others, he had to face many difficult situations at the beginning of his career. Various conditions had to be accepted despite reluctance. For example, he had to be intimate with 10 people in a row to check whether he would have chemistry with a co-artist!
Annie Hathaway herself told the incident to the American magazine Variety. However, he did not reveal the name of anyone involved in the 2000 incident. But Annie says, “At that time it was natural to ask if there would be chemistry with the actor, to be intimate for that test. But actually this is a very bad approach. I was told, ’10 young people are coming today, and you are their co-artist. Are you excited about being intimate with them?’ It seemed like there was something wrong with me, because I wasn’t feeling euphoric.”
Anne HathawayDespite reluctance, Annie took the kiss test by getting intimate with those 10 that day. He commented, “I was very young and knew very well how ‘difficult’ things were made easy! So, I just pretended to be excited and did as they said. Although there was no rush, none of them (10 fellow artists) abused or hurt me. It was actually an exceptional time, and everyone knows the situation now.”
Meanwhile, Annie Hathaway’s new film ‘The Idea of You’ will be released on Amazon Prime Video on May 2. The Michael Showalter-produced film stars him alongside Nicholas Galitzin. Annie is also involved in the production of this film.
