The 12th National Parliament election will be held on January 7. Showbiz stars Riaz, Zayed Khan, Jyotika Jyoti, Aruna Biswas, Purnima and Apu Biswas are seen active in Awami League’s political activities. Even though there were discussions around the election, they did not pick up the nomination papers in the end.
Riaz said, ‘I hold Bangabandhu. I like Awami League. However, I have no desire or interest to participate in the parliamentary elections. I think there are many qualified candidates in Awami League. Those who still have bullet marks on their bodies, there are marks of torture. They are the ones who are eligible to be candidates in the elections.’
Riaz also said, ‘I want to work for the people of the country. So far I have no idea to collect nominations of Awami League. But if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants, I will think about it.’
Cinematographer Zayed Khan said, ‘Many people think that I do Awami League politics to become an MP; But no, I have this team since I was in that university. I am not taking the nomination form for the parliamentary elections, but I am by my side in any activity of the party, if necessary.’
Jyoti said, ‘I think I still have a lot to give in politics. This time I am not taking the nomination form to participate in the parliamentary elections. However, I am in the election campaign of Awami League. In the meantime, I am busy with various activities for the team.
Actress Apu Biswas is rumored to be participating in the election but she said that she has not decided to participate in the election from any particular constituency. But if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to give him any responsibility, he will fulfill it.
Same goes for actress Aruna Biswas. Although he has been involved in the politics of Awami League for a long time, he has no intention to pick up the nomination form in the 12th national election. He thinks there are more qualified people in politics. They should participate in the parliamentary elections. Aruna said, ‘I am not collecting any nomination form for the election. But I am with the Awami League, as I was in the past, I will remain the same in the future.’
Actress Poornima was also buzzing about the nomination in the showbiz arena. The actress said that she has no such plans. In Purnima’s words, ‘Those who have been associated with politics for a long time can expect nomination. I am a child compared to them in politics. So I have no intention or plan to collect nominations to participate in the elections.’
