The list of Awami League nominees includes – actor Ferdous, actress Mahia Mahi, Rubel, Shakeel Khan, Siddiqur Rahman.
Others to be added to this list are actors Riaz, Deepjol and Rokeya Wall. Meanwhile, there are rumors that actress Apu Biswas will also be nominated, but this is not true, he told the media.
According to media reports, actor Ferdous will buy nomination from Awami League tomorrow. He expressed his desire to contest from any seat in Dhaka.

Recently popular actress Mahia Mahi collected and submitted the nomination form of Awami League from Chapainawabganj-2 constituency to participate in the 12th National Assembly elections.
Mahia Mahi told the media, ‘I am 100% sure that if there is verification at the grassroots level then I will be nominated from the party. Because of the interest at the grass root level, I bought the nomination form. Now let’s see what happens. If I get the nomination, my first task will be – since my area is an agricultural area, I will try to ensure that they get a fair price for the produce. I will work to ensure that every woman in my Chapainawabganj gets employment.’
Once popular actor Masum Parvez Rubel has picked the nomination form from Barisal-3 seat to participate in the 12th National Assembly elections.
Masum Parvez said, ‘I am associated with politics since my student life. I have been chanting “Joy Bangla” on the streets for a long time. He did not come to politics suddenly like others in the film. We have been doing Awami League politics for a long time. I hope I got my point across.’
Actor Shakeel Khan is keen to contest from Rampal-Mongla. He has already collected nomination papers of Awami League. This hero has been doing business for a long time even though he is not regular in films.
Cinematographer Shakeel Khan commented, ‘I love the soil and people of Rampal-Mongla. If Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nominates me from this seat, I will work for the welfare of the people of this area. I hope to get party nomination for this seat. I am not only now but always with the people of my area.’
Besides, the popular small screen actor Siddiqur Rahman Siddique has bought the nomination form for Dhaka-17 and Tangail-1 constituencies.
