Actor Shakeel Khan collected nomination papers on the first day of nomination sale. He submitted silently on Monday.
This hero said, ‘I have bought nomination for Bagerhat-3 (Rampal and Mongla) seat in the upcoming 12th election. Now bought the nomination it is not big or important. I have been working in Mongla, Rampal area for a long time. I have a long political identity with the people of this area outside of my acting. I want to be by their side.’
Shakeel Khan said that even though he was away from acting, he was never away from the people of his area. He always stood by the people of the area
Shakeel said, ‘I have been working for the people of the area for 19 years. Now I expect only one thing, to be led by a good person and under whose leadership the common people of the area and Trinamool Awami League can work together, to move forward with that goal.
Shakil also said that there is regular communication with the people of the village. I want to move forward with them. I submitted my nomination quietly with their love. Because, I didn’t want to destroy the order by bringing extra people to this place to submit nominations.
Because many are coming, everyone needs to be given a chance. That’s why after talking to the people of my area, I brought a few people with me and submitted the nomination. It is easier for everyone to come and do things quietly. For this, I did not campaign for submitting nominations separately. But I remain active in my constituency as before.
Shakeel Khan came to films with inclination. He acted in the first film ‘Amar Ghar Amar Behesht’ in his career in 1994. That film was released three years later. After that he came, saw, conquered.
In a short time, this hero made his strong position in Bengali cinema. When he did not get enough time to give himself time due to his busy schedule, he had to rush to various parts of the country and abroad for shooting, at such a time he suddenly withdrew himself from acting in films. After that he was no longer regular in movies.
