Popular actor Ferdous dominated the cinema industry of Bengal at one time. But currently he is not seen in the cinema of Kolkata, but he is working regularly in the cinema of the country. In addition, he is often seen presenting various programs and in the field of politics.

A few days ago Ferdous starrer ‘1971: All Days’ was released. After the release of the movie, it was highly appreciated at home and abroad. Apart from this, he has about half a dozen movies awaiting release. He is also busy shooting for several movies. Ferdous has passed 25 years of career with intense busyness.

The actor started his film journey by joining the unfinished work of the late hero Salman Shah starrer ‘Buker Bhoor Agun’. But ‘Sudden Rain’ brought him fame and popularity as a hero. This movie, released in 1998, besides being a commercial success, the performance of Ferdous-Priyanka also caught the attention of the audience and critics.

Priyanka Trivedi’s chemistry with Ferdous won the audience’s hearts in the Bangladesh-India joint production film. The Basu Chatterjee-produced film completed 25 years recently. On this occasion, Chhatku Ahmed has edited a book by collecting the experience of ‘Sudden Rain’ screenplay and artists. Last Saturday evening, the unveiling of this book titled ‘Screenplay and Other Contexts’ and the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the film was organized at the roof terrace of Channel Eye.

Ferdous, the hero of ‘Sudden Rain’, was present in it. Besides, the film’s producer Habibur Rahman Khan, Impress Telefilm Limited and Channel I Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar, fiction writer Imdadul Haque Milan, cinematographer Riaz, director Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar and many others.

Ferdous, very excited on the 25th anniversary of his movie, said, ‘It’s like 25 years have passed in the blink of an eye. We are unveiling the book of Sudden Rain along with the Channel i family along with some of the great people of film and legendary makers, producers in a very beautiful event. Thanks to my father, Habib Ankel, the producer of Sudden Rain, for gifting me this wonderful book. Thanks to dear director Chhatku Bhai, Asim Sasashi for taking this initiative and publishing the memoir. Today I became Ferdous because you gave me a chance. This book is published today because you have suffered.’

It is to be noted that this ‘Sudden Rain’ is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Kadhal Kattai’ which won India’s National Film Award in 1996. However, the story and production made the film a record business.
