Shakil Khan, a once popular hero of Dhakai films, has collected nomination papers for Bagerhat-3 (Mongla-Rampal) constituency to participate in the upcoming 12th general elections.
He collected the nomination papers from the political office of Awami League on Saturday (November 18) afternoon. Awami League leaders and workers from Rampal and Mongla were present with him.
Shakil Khan confirmed this information over the phone on Sunday (November 19) about the collection of nomination papers. He said, I am hundred percent optimistic. Honorable Prime Minister will nominate me for the boat symbol. I want to participate in the election from Rampal Mongla constituency if I get the nomination.
He also said, since my student life, I have been doing politics for the common people. Apart from acting, I am always engaged in public service activities. I have stood by the common people as an activist of Awami League in the past days to build Bangabandhu’s ideal Bangladesh and strengthen the hand of the honorable Prime Minister. The common people of Rampal-Mongla love me. In the twelfth election, the leader will evaluate me with the opportunity to participate in the election.
Earlier, this actor wanted the nomination of Awami League from this seat in the 11th National Parliament election. He has been doing mass communication in the area for a long time.
