Actress Bansree made her film debut in Dhaka in the 1990s with the film Sohrab Rustom opposite Ilyas Kanchan. In 1996, his second movie ‘Maha Sejma’ was released. Bansree acted opposite two heroes Manna and Amin Khan in this movie. At that time, he acted in pairs with many other heroes. It is surprising but it is true that the heroine who once shook the screen now lives in a government sheltered house. Banashree lives in a shelter project house of Char Union in Madbar of Shibchar Upazila of Madaripur.
Everyone knows her as Banashree but her full name is Sahina Sikder. His house is in Shikdarkandi village of Madbarerchar union of Shibchar upazila of Madaripur district. Banshree is the eldest of two daughters and one son of father Majnu Shikder alias Mojibur Rahman Shikder and mother Saburjan (Reena). He moved to Dhaka from Shivchar at the age of seven because his father was a contractor. He came to the brick city and made a name for himself in the movies and gained popularity. But the happy time did not last long. Step away from the cinema for a while. After that, he fell into poverty and lived in a slum.
Actress Banashree said that she was attracted to culture since childhood. At one time, Udichi was associated with mass cultural organizations. He used to sing well. Subchan joined Natya Sangsad to learn acting. Regularly recited in BTV’s Spandan program. Later joined the cinema. He has worked in about ten movies. Although three of them see the light of day. The world of cinema had to be abandoned once it got into trouble. After leaving the film world, due to financial hardship, he did flower business in Dhaka’s Shahbagh flower market for some time. Hakari in different buses, also sold prayer teaching books.
He moved to his upazila Shivchar after the corona epidemic, unable to make ends meet in the midst of severe poverty. Currently living in house number 29 of Char Union shelter project in Madbar of Shivchar upazila.
He also said that his two children. The elder girl was kidnapped when she was in class seven. After that, he was disappointed not to find any trace of his daughter.
He claimed that the owner of a production house kidnapped his daughter and made her a model. Then he was not returned. The daughter was not returned even after seeking the police’s help. He said, I did not get any help from the administration regarding the girl. I don’t know if my daughter is alive or dead.
The actress also said, now the days are going hard. Sometimes I go to political meetings. The boy is in fifth class, give him time. I sew at home. But after corona came, I don’t even get sewing work anymore.
Sheikh Hasina’s government stood beside him in his plight. A few years ago, the Prime Minister handed over 20 lakhs to him. He was not lacking in this either. He was not relieved because he did not have a permanent home. Finally settled in the shelter project house.
Shibchar Upazila Executive Officer Rajibul Islam said that according to the Prime Minister’s announcement, not a single person in Bangladesh will be landless and homeless. To fulfill that promise, every landless and homeless person of Shibchar Upazila has been rehabilitated under the Prime Minister’s Office Shelter Scheme 2nd Phase. Banashree got a house under that project.
