The Samsung Galaxy Ring is expected to hit global markets in the coming months, with details of the next-gen wearable having been leaked since the company first announced it in January. A new report has revealed the wearable’s model number, suggesting it will be available in eight sizes. Detailed specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Ring are yet to be revealed, but it is expected to offer health and sleep monitoring features and last up to nine days on a single charge.
The Galaxy Club report (Dutch) states that there are only eight confirmed forms of galaxy rings. They are SM-Q500, SM-Q501, SM-Q502, SM-Q505, SM-Q506, SM-Q507, SM-Q508 and SM-Q509. Two models appear to be missing, and it’s unclear if this represents an additional size or if Samsung will launch a ninth model as previously announced.
The publication assumes these models fit US ring sizes 5 and up (starting at SMQ500). According to reports, the following models may represent ring sizes up to size 13, which may correspond to model number SM-Q509.
Earlier this year, tech analysts claimed they already had experience with a Galaxy Ring prototype, which is available in multiple sizes up to US size 13 (or 22.2mm). The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring is also expected to launch in three sizes. Latest reports ( Korean) Samsung revealed that the Ring has a battery life of 9 days.
Meanwhile, according to a recent DO report source, Samsung is producing more than 400,000 units of Samsung Galaxy Ring and the wearable device is expected to start mass production next month. Samsung debuted the Ring at the year’s first Galaxy Unpacked event in January, then showed off the Ring again at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024), and the device is expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event in July—called the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. .
