Step to make a bad reputation, Tata’s new Maruti car will have this safety feature

--

Just a few more weeks to wait. If everything goes well, the new generation Maruti Swift is going to be officially launched in the Indian market in May. Starting from the design, there are surprises in the features. Safety is increasing. Sources claim that the hatchback will feature features that will rival the likes of the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will offer six airbags

Maruti Suzuki has managed to earn a 4-star rating from the Japanese NCAP for the new incarnation of this car, overcoming its long-standing bad reputation. However, the build quality of the Indian version is likely to differ from the Japanese model. In that case, whether it can get a 4-star rating in this country remains a question.

Sources claim that the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will come with six airbags as standard features. Besides, there is electronic stability control or ESC, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist. The previous model of the Swift received only 1-star ratings for adult and child passengers from Global Encaps. Meanwhile, the Tata Punch won the title of India’s most secure car right from the start.

However, like Punch, Hyundai Exter and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios have 6 airbags. Among other safety features, the Swift is going to get ABS with EBD. Due to these, India is expected to get a higher safety rating from NCAP than before.
