Two brands of Chetak are running in the market
Bajaj Auto Chetak models mainly sell electric scooters. Now two variants of this scooter are available in the market. Chetak Urban and Chetak Premium. The price of Chetak Urban starts from Rs 1.23 lakh. And on the other hand, Chetak Premium price starts from Rs.1.47 lakh.
What did Bajaj Auto say?
Bajaj Auto Executive Director Rakesh Sharma said in a press release that Bajaj Auto has upgraded its products in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24. However, Bajaj is going to launch a new product in the market within the month of May. How much is going to be the price of this new model? It is expected that Chetak will keep the price relatively affordable to compete in the market. But it is not a premium model, said Bajaj director. It is reported that this model may have a small battery and hub motor.
Bajaj will increase the number of shops and showrooms
Bajaj Auto launched the first electric scooter in the market in January 2020. As of the beginning of 2024, the company has sold 1,06,431 Chetak models across the country. The company’s market share has increased by 14 percent. Currently, Bajaj has a total of 200 stores in 164 cities across the country. Even the company has informed that within the next 3 to 4 months the number of these stores will reach 600 across the country Bajaj Auto.
