The Redmi K70 series will have a flagship grade camera sensor
The tipster posted on digital chat station Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site) that the Xiaomi-affiliated brand will use the IMX9/LYT8 sensor in the new Redmi K70 series. This is a new flagship sensor that will be used in other premium phones like OnePlus 12 and Realme GT5 Pro.
The sensor is said to offer significant improvements in low-light performance and image quality. Apart from this, the Redmi K70 series smartphone is also rumored to include a Periscope module. Incidentally, recently Redmi’s Marketing General Manager, Thomas also revealed some significant information about the Redmi K70 series.
He said that the standard Redmi K70 model will have a 1.5K resolution display, while the Redmi K70 Pro will have a 2K resolution display. Both models will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Redmi has not yet confirmed the launch date of the K70 series in China, but it is expected to be announced soon.
