How much mileage does it give? – The number of people who will not hear this question when buying a new car is very small. The more mileage per litre, the more the car is worth to the majority of buyers. Hybrid technology has emerged from such thinking.
The mileage of this type of car is high due to the shorting system in the battery as well as the engine. Two popular hybrid cars in the country are Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota HyRyder. Again, in the next two years, several cars with hybrid technology are going to come in India. Let’s know about them in detail.

New generation Maruti Swift

Currently Maruti is planning to bring more hybrid technology vehicles. Among which Maruti Swift is one. Recently, the car was seen testing in the European market. It is reported to come with a strong hybrid setup. Maruti has been developing a new 1.2 liter engine and a new hybrid setup. Codenamed ‘Z12E’, this engine will be seen in the hatchback Swift for the first time.

The engine can get a mileage of 40 km per liter. The new generation Maruti Swift is expected to hit the market in 2024. The new model is expected to be priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The next-gen Maruti Dzire

Like the Swift, the Dzire is also set to receive massive updates. The Z12E engine may also be used by Maruti. As a result, the mileage of this sedan can increase to 40 km/l. The car may come with new design and interior updates. New features include larger infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, 360 degree camera etc. The new Dzire is expected to launch alongside the Swift. Prices can range from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

New generation Toyota Fortuner

The Toyota Fortuner in India needs no special mention. The car’s dominance in the full-size SUV segment remains the same even today. Toyota is considering updating the design and features of the new generation Fortuner. One of which is the addition of a mild hybrid setup. It is likely to have a 2.8 liter diesel engine and a 48 volt battery pack.

Toyota claims it will deliver 10% more mileage than the non-hybrid variant. New features include a panoramic sunroof, larger infotainment, digital instrument cluster and ADAS. It is also expected to launch in 2024. Prices can be kept around Rs 70 (on-road, Mumbai).
